Countdown to car!

So I've convinced Peter it is time to buy a car. Well, not immediately, but by the end of the year. We've (I've) sort of decided on the Honda Fit. It's got four doors, manual transmission, a iPod jack (very important for road trips), tons of leg and headroom, (even though it looks tiny) and best of all, all the seats do crazy things. (Check out the photos. You gotta love the one with the llama hanging out in the back seat.) The front seats go almost all the way back, making rest stop sleeping easier. The bottom of the back seats fold up, allowing you to put tall things in there. And, because of the front seat, back seat folding-combo, you can put things as long as 2.4 meters all the way through. Plus it gets 38 miles to the gallon and is within our price range. (We'd love to have a Prius, but its just a bit too pricy for us.) I'm really excited as not having a vehicle and having to rent all the time is really getting to me, personally and financially. While we rent cars in the winter for $12-18 a day, in the summer that jumps to $25-35. It's ridiculous. Go Fit!
