Two posts in one day? I'm CRAZY! I just got this picture in my inbox from my friend Eleanor. This is her adorable baby girl Rania wearing the first pair of baby booties I ever knit. I'm so glad they fit, and she looks so adorable in them. Really gets the maternal clock ticking. If I learn how to sew I can completely remove myself from the baby clothing market.

First, what a nice friend you have to send a picture. (Not all gift recipients do that!) Second, they look fab! How cute. You said the baby was born in June? So it is about 2 months now? Also, did you get my previous email about gauge (did you meet your guage)?
Also, I am getting inspired to knit again after a two-month hiatus. I don't know why I haven't been knitting, but now am ready to start again.

i don't know if i knit to gauge on these, i didn't actually do a swatch. (i'm bad, i know.) but all four i've done so far have come out the same size, and since it's double knitting most of the way on two needles, and it's on size 5, i'm not knitting as tightly as i do on socks...
